Reports to: Senior Buyer
Role Purpose:
Supporting the Senior Buyer to plan new seasonal and core ranges. Working with Merchandising, Designers, PD, Tech and supplier partners to buy products to our required margin and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for their own product categories, providing balance of both wardrobe staples and fashion products for our customer, which is appropriate to the market and is in line with the rest of the collections.
Support across departments with key product details for each season.
Constantly review social media, competitors and the wider market to identify new product opportunities.
Review existing competitor bases and identify any new potential competitors. Highlight opportunity/risk.
Review competitor pricing to ensure we place ourselves correctly in the market.
Support Senior Buyer to source and build product ranges (collaborating with Merchandising) aligned to season sales budget.
Responsible for price negotiation, in their own product categories, to ensure target margin is achieved.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, identifying opportunities for margin growth, new style development and fabric consolidation.
Manage the product critical path identifying priorities, ensuring P.O’s are raised on time and samples are delivered against key deadlines.
Support with weekly and monthly trade reports and packs, identifying opportunities to drive sales growth and promotion.
In season trading - review current product, how its selling and support Senior Buyer on restocks.
Managing the use of any surplus fabric and greige tracker through the season.

Ensure open costs are received on time
Have visibility of fabric costs to support with fabric matrix
Oversee photoshoot and Ecomm sample management, to ensure all products are received in time to shoot.
Managing critical paths for each season
Daily communication with supplier partners, via email and virtual meetings
Bulk fabric approvals
Provide support for BAA.
